Radio Engineering is known as a highly technical field. How did you enter this world and what helped you succeed?

My interest in Radio Engineering was driven by a strong passion for technology and problem-solving. After graduating from Princess Sumaya University for Technology, I focused on building a strong technical foundation through practical projects and internships.

Joining Orange as a Radio Engineer was a turning point in my career. It allowed me to apply my academic knowledge in a real-world environment while optimizing network performance and solving complex technical challenges.

My success comes from continuous learning, adapting to new technologies, and benefiting from the collaborative and innovative culture at Orange. This environment motivates me to deliver high-quality solutions and contribute to the future of connectivity.

Do you remember a moment when you felt, “This is where I belong”?

Yes. Early in my career at Orange, I participated in a network optimization project to improve coverage in a high-density urban area where interference and demand created major challenges.

Working with a skilled team, we analyzed data, adjusted parameters, and tested solutions until we achieved clear improvements in network efficiency. Seeing the results of our work was incredibly rewarding and confirmed that I was exactly where I wanted to be.

As a woman in a traditionally male-dominated field, what helped you build credibility?

At Orange, I learned that credibility comes from technical competence, reliability, and strong work ethics. In radio engineering, the focus is always on the quality of work and the ability to solve complex problems.

By consistently delivering results and taking on challenging projects, I gained the respect of my colleagues while continuing to grow professionally.

Can you describe a typical day in your role?

My day begins with reviewing network performance data and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities. I collaborate with engineers and customer service teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance the overall experience.

The most rewarding part of my role is seeing the direct impact of our work—whether solving a customer issue or improving network performance.

How do you stay focused in such a demanding field?

I stay focused by prioritizing tasks at the start of the day and breaking complex challenges into manageable steps, which helps me approach problems with clarity and confidence.
